Yes. DDC is National Forensic Science Technology Center-accredited for ISO-17025, and licensed by the New York State Department of Health. We conduct all casework in strict accordance with the DNA Advisory Board guidelines.

What instrumentation and systems do you use for DNA testing?
We use the ABI instrumentation with AmpFLSTR® Identifiler®, Profiler Plus®, and COfiler®.

What is your chain of custody procedure?
Our chain of custody procedure is in strict accordance with the DNA Advisory Board guidelines. We require a chain of custody form to accompany the evidence at all times. DDC can provide you with chain of custody forms.

Does DDC FORENSICS perform its own statistical analysis of the data?
Yes. We use DNAView and eDNA, the two most widely used statistical programs in the industry.

What quality assurance does DDC FORENSICS perform for data analysis?
DDC’s quality assurance program is in accordance with ‘The Quality Assurance Standards for Forensic DNA Testing Laboratories and Convicted Offender DNA Databasing Laboratories’ issued by the FBI Director.
Does DDC participate in proficiency testing programs?
Yes.
DDC participates in proficiency testing twice a year through an accredited proficiency testing service. Proficiency documentation is available upon request.
Where is DDC’s laboratory located?
Our laboratory is located at the DNA Technology Park in Fairfield, Ohio, a suburb of Cincinnati. It is an 88,000 sq-ft. facility comprising three buildings.
