DDC Renews Its ISO/IEC 17025 Certification
January 26, 2008. (Cincinnati, OH). DNA Diagnostics Center recently announced that it has successfully renewed its ISO/IEC:17025 certification following an on-site laboratory inspection by ACLASS Accreditation Services. This certification is based on international laboratory quality standards set by International Organization for Standardization, or ISO.
ACLASS is a full member of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC). ACLASS’s prestigious status adds particular significance to DDC’s certification because the inspection is viewed as a more stringent assessment of the laboratory quality system than inspections by non-members of ILAC.
DDC has been certified to ISO/IEC:17025 standards since 2003. ISO/IEC:17025 is the international standard for ensuring the technical competency of laboratories. It covers every aspect of laboratory management, ranging from sample preparation to analytical testing proficiency, to record keeping and reports.

DDC holds a total of six accreditations/certifications by industry’s most significant organizations. DDC is the only DNA testing laboratory has obtained and upheld 13 perfect inspections by major national and international accrediting bodies.
